In an effort to reduce the financial burden of running the orphanage and schools, the Monastery is looking at different options, including:

Bangladesh Bouddha Kristi Prachar Sangha, in its efforts to uphold the invaluable achievements of Mahasanghanayaka Visuddhananda Mahathero founded the “VISUDDHANANDA WELFARE TRUST” on 20 February, 1981. Mahasanghanayaka Visuddhananda Mahathero, who contributed immeasurably in advancing the tradition of Dhamma, Education and Cultural heritage of the Bangladesh Buddhists is considered the Pioneer of 20th century for his untiring activism, humanism and his impressing leadership in bridging the Bangladeshi Buddhists to the international community.
The program was launched with the three prime disciples of the late Mahasanghanayaka, namely Sanghanayaka Darshonsagor Priyananda Mahathero, Sanghanayaka Suddhananda Mahathero and Uposanghanayaka Sugatananda Mahathero as leading Trustees. Throughly steady transition and transformation the Trust has pursued its agenda to aim for a well targeted goal. In its travel with time the Trust had special agenda in advancing Education and Culture.
Currently it has been focused on to make the Trust more vibrant and enrich its financial resources. A team of dedicated Trustees are working hard to this end. Donors contributing Taka 25,000.- would be registered as “General Member” of the Trust Board and those contributing Taka 50,000.- would be registered as “Life Members”. In addition to these, generous persons can donate to arrange commemorative programs for Parents/Children/Elderlies to distribute stipends from fund generated by the donation. The disciples and devotees of the H. H. Mahasanghanayaka at home and abroad are particularly pleaded to contribute generously to enrich the Trust Fund.
It is mentionable that the Trustees will nominate a General Member and a Life Member to the Board for a term of five years.
The Trust would also collect fund to organize awarding the “Visuddhananda Gold Award” every year, to extend medical support and higher education assistance to Bhikkhu Saman eras. Besides, the Trust Management would continuously adopt policies and plans for development programs. A most adorable son of the Buddhist Community, the “New Atish” of the 20th century, the unsurpassed leader of Buddhist Community, the founder of many leading organizations and a widely loved Buddhist Spiritual Personality H. H. Mahasanghanayaka Visuddhananda Mahathero commemorative Trust needs your valued participation and assistances in its mission forward. Please extend it to your best ability. We shall greet and embrace it with heart.
